The video clip explains the goal we aim for - namely to develop into a Learning organisation.

Pupils, staff, parents, governors, community members, the local authority and the Welsh government: we all have our part to play in improving our schools. Being considered as schools that are Learning organisations means that we are all open and curious to learn, train, explore collaboration and trial to meet the needs of our pupils.

Through our quality improvement processes, we form a joint school development plan (SDP) that drives us towards our vision for the federation.

This year, we have identified 4 priorities that we are tackling which are:

  1. To improve pupils' fluency and reading comprehension of Welsh across years 3 to 6 of both schools
  2. Develop the pride and fluency of Ysgol Penllwyn pupils when speaking Welsh
  3. Improve the provision for developing pupils' writing across both schools
  4. Improve the progress pupils make across both schools

As school stakeholders we all have a role to play in ensuring progress against these priorities. If you have ideas about how you can contribute to our vision, discuss with the headteacher.
