The video clip explains the goal we aim for - namely to develop into a Learning organisation.

Pupils, staff, parents, governors, community members, the local authority and the Welsh government: we all have our part to play in improving our schools. Being considered as schools that are Learning organisations means that we are all open and curious to learn, train, explore collaboration and trial to meet the needs of our pupils.

Through our quality improvement processes, we form a joint school development plan (SDP) that drives us towards our vision for the federation.

This year, our internal processes, and Estyn's recent inspection, have identified 4 priorities that we are tackling which are:

  1. Address the health and safety issue raised during the inspection (Penrhyn-coch only)
  2. Ensuring that teachers' expectations are high enough to support all pupils to achieve to the best of their ability
  3. Developing pupils' independent learning skills, including their ability to make choices about their learning, improve their own work, and influence the school's work.
  4. To improve pupils' fluency and reading comprehension of Welsh across years 3 to 6 of both schools

As school stakeholders we all have a role to play in ensuring progress against these priorities. If you have ideas about how you can contribute to our vision, discuss with the headteacher.
